Two steps decide every EB-1A petition

1
Step 1 · Criteria count

Meet at least 3 of 10

Document at least three regulatory criteria with qualifying evidence, or a one-time achievement such as a major internationally recognized award.

2
Step 2 · Final merits

Show sustained acclaim

USCIS then weighs the evidence as a whole to decide whether you are among the small percentage at the very top of your field. This is where a clear narrative wins cases.

How an Engagement Runs

From first call to filed petition

A clean, six-step workflow designed to coordinate with your immigration attorney's calendar and filing style.

01

Consultation

A short call to understand your field, achievements, and timeline, and whether EB-1A is the right fit for you right now.

02

Engagement agreement

Scope and fees are set in writing. Work begins once the agreement is signed and payment is processed.

03

Attorney intake call

We schedule an intake call with your immigration attorney. Please have your most recent resume ready for discussion.

04

Evidence mapping

Every achievement is matched to a criterion, with a detailed list of the documents needed to support it.

05

Drafting and letters

Criteria arguments, the final merits narrative, and expert letters are drafted and refined with you and your attorney.

06

Filing and follow-through

Your attorney files Form I-140. If USCIS issues a Request for Evidence, we help assemble the response package.

Questions

Common questions

No. Aegis Consulting provides advisory and evidence-preparation services. We do not give legal advice, represent clients before USCIS, or file petitions. Your licensed immigration attorney handles all legal work and the filing itself.

No. EB-1A allows self-petitioning, so no employer sponsor or labor certification is required. Your attorney will confirm the right category for your situation based on your record and timeline.

Many strong candidates start there. We can build a roadmap for adding qualifying evidence over time — such as peer review work, publications, or invited memberships — before you file.

Yes. We regularly coordinate with the client's chosen attorney. If you don't have one yet, we can introduce you to attorneys who regularly handle EB-1A petitions.

No one can. USCIS decides each petition on its own evidence. Our job is to make your evidence as complete, organized, and clearly argued as it can be, in partnership with your attorney.
